Connecting Social Media Channels

Before capty can schedule and publish posts on your behalf, your social media accounts need to be connected to your workspace. You manage this under "Channels" in the sidebar.

Connected channels overview

The "Connected Channels" table shows all accounts already connected, with the following information:

  • Channel: Name and ID of the connected account.
  • Type: The type of account, e.g. "Instagram Business" or "LinkedIn Company Page".
  • Connected by: Which team member set up the connection.
  • Status: Whether the connection is active ("Connected").

Connecting a new channel

Click "Connect Channel" in the top right. In the "Choose Platform" dialog, the following platforms are available:

  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn profile or LinkedIn company page.
  • Facebook: Facebook page.
  • Instagram: Instagram Business account.
  • TikTok: TikTok Business account.

After choosing a platform, you'll be guided through that platform's login and permission process. The channel then appears in the overview with the status "Connected".

Instagram requires an Instagram Business account linked to a Facebook page. For LinkedIn and Facebook, you'll need admin rights for the company page or page you want to connect.

Disconnecting a channel

Use the "Disconnect" button in the corresponding row to remove a channel from capty. Posts already scheduled or published for that channel remain unaffected, but no new posts can be scheduled for it until it's reconnected.

Why connect channels?

Only connected channels are available as a platform option when Creating a New Post. So connect every channel you plan to schedule posts for with capty first.
