Brand Voice & Templates

Working with Templates

If you regularly create similar types of posts – weekly tips, product spotlights, or recurring question formats – templates let you recreate them in just a few clicks instead of starting from scratch every time.

Templates overview

Under "Templates" in the sidebar, you'll see all saved templates for your workspace as tiles. Use the filters (e.g. "All" or custom categories like "Questions") to narrow down the list. Each template shows how many times it's been used.

Creating a template

Use the "Create Template" button to open the editor for a new template. You can set:

  • Template name: An internal name to recognise the template.
  • Description: A short explanation of what the template is for.
  • Category: A free-form category (e.g. "Campaign", "Product") you can later filter by.
  • Platforms: Which channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) the template is intended for.
  • Tile color: A colour to visually distinguish templates in the overview.
  • Prompt template: Text that is appended to the AI prompt whenever this template is used – e.g. "Write in a Q&A format and reference recent industry news."

Super templates

A super template is a template that covers multiple platforms at once – for example Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook in one. When you use a super template, capty generates matching suggestions for all of its platforms right away.

Using a template

Click "Use Template" to start a new post that's already pre-filled with the template's settings and prompt text. From there, the rest of the process works as usual – including AI caption generation, editing, and scheduling. See Creating a New Post for details.

Tip: Combine templates with your Setting Up Your Brand Voice – that way the AI adapts not just the format, but also the tone automatically.
